Robotize Delivers Large Order to Kärcher
Kärcher is a German global leader in cleaning technology. Kärcher expanded its production capacity in Europe by building two factories in Curtea de Arges, Romania, through its Romanian subsidiary CER Cleaning Equipment. The first factory was opened in 2016 in Curtea de Arges. The second CER Cleaning Equipment factory was inaugurated in 2021.
The new production plant is much larger than the first CER Cleaning Equipment factory. For this reason, Kärcher was looking for a safe and simple solution to automate internal pallet transport. Our official partner in Romania, Novomatix, got into contact with CER Cleaning Equipment and offered them a demo using the GoPal 400 autonomous mobile robot.
After a month of testing, CER was impressed with the capabilities of GoPal. CER has evaluated several autonomous mobile robots from different manufacturers. In the end, CER chooses to automate internal pallet transport with GoPal. The reasons for choosing GoPal were both based on safety and flexibility. Plus, unlike other autonomous mobile robots on the market, GoPal comes as a fully-integrated solution. This means that the robots can be onboarded in a few days with almost no site adaptation, hand-holding or external suppliers involved.
Consequently, Robotize delivered a massive order to CER Cleaning Equipment including five GoPal E24W together with accessories such as GoPal call buttons, GoPal Pallet Sensor, as well as Passive Pallet Stations, Conveyor Pallet stations, integrated with automatic wrapping machines, and buffer conveyor lines in the warehouse area. The GoPal E24W performs tasks such as internal pallet transport in the assembly and finish line as well as in the injection line.
